Junior Stock Analyst Intern

 StoQ Brothers is looking for a Junior Stock Analyst.

Description

Utilize data analysis to predict the future earnings of the company
● Provide support to senior stock analysts in the evaluation of current and potential investments
● Evaluate variables such as regulatory actions and changing industry dynamics that may impact on the stocks
● Responsible for digging up information on proposed and existing investments to equity analysts and portfolio managers
● Responsible for stock screening to find undervalued companies and conduct initial research and write-ups on companies
● Participate in industry conferences, annual general meetings, and other events as needed.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

● The ability to analyze balance sheets, parsing footnotes, and value companies.
● Interest in or working towards Certification/License Series 65 or Series 7 Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel
● Applicants should have the ability to work independently and report findings confidently to the rest of the investment team
● Detail-oriented with demonstrated interest in public equity investing
● Should possess outstanding writing and verbal communication skills necessary to work in a team environment
● The ability to handle multiple tasks while working independently or across teams
● Have the mental capacity for generating investment and trading ideas, as well as thought leadership abilities.
● Must also be able to apply logic and data analysis to analyze complex issues and make sound decisions.

Internship Eligibility:

● Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
● Must be at least 18 years of age
● Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program dates: The approximate dates are first week of june through last week of July. Interns will work 10 -15 hours per week throughout the internship and must provide full availability throughout the internship.
Work Environment: This is a remote internship. The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space.
